Why Cloud-Exit?
Because data shared today decides about us tomorrow.
That’s not exaggeration. Insurers are already experimenting with AI-based tariffs based on app data. Banks are increasingly automating credit scoring with behavioural profiles. HR departments pre-filter CVs by machine. Whoever dumps geo data, contacts, photo content and payment behaviour into a US cloud today is handing over tomorrow’s decision power — without a clear way to ever take it back.
The system can’t be changed from outside. But we can decide to feed it less.

🌟 “Family” — the cloud-exit stack for home
- Immich photo server (smart search, albums, geo-map without tracking)
- Nextcloud drive + calendar + contacts + tasks, family sharing
- Matrix-WhatsApp bridge
- Email setup — your choice: own Postfix/Dovecot on your Hetzner server (full control, no third party) or mailbox.org accounts (GDPR-clean, ~€3/user/month, less maintenance)
- Backup concept: daily restic on a second machine
- Migration: photo takeover from Google Photos / iCloud, step by step
Effort: 1-2 days setup + handover via video call. Price: from €690 (standard setup) up to €1,490 (with photo migration from Google/iCloud + on-site family onboarding). Plus ~€25-35/month hosting (Hetzner) — or self-hosted on a mini-PC at home.
”Law firm / practice” — GDPR hardening with client interaction
Everything from “Family” plus Nextcloud Talk for GDPR-compliant client video calls, own Matrix for internal team comms, encrypted file sharing via Nextcloud public links, DPA bundling for used services, team training.
Effort: 3-4 weeks. Price: €4,900-9,900 + ~€50-90/month.
”Complete” — full cloud-exit for micro-business / association
Everything from “Law firm” plus local AI (Llama/Mistral), own CRM (EspoCRM/Mautic), own form capture, accounting connection (PSD2), handover documentation.
Effort: 5-6 weeks. Price: €9,900-15,000 + €90-180/month + optional retainer.
